About Us

Two Macaws is more than a concept store—it’s a celebration of global craftsmanship, culture, and conscious living. Located in the heart of Winnipeg’s historic Exchange District, our store brings the beauty of the world to Winnipeg, offering a curated selection of handcrafted home décor, artisan jewelry, textiles, and meaningful gifts made by traditional artisans around the world.

At Two Macaws, there is something for everyone, there is art in all its forms - the beautiful woven sweaters from Aran Islands in Ireland , handcrafted jewelry from Spain and France to beautiful creations of art by Winnipeg locals.

Inspired by travels across India, Peru, and South America, Two Macaws connects you with the soul of global artistry—from the vibrant colors of Indian markets to the sacred patterns of the Amazon. Each piece in our store tells a story of heritage, sustainability, and craftsmanship that supports real artisans and their communities.

The name Two Macaws was born in Peru, where I spent time with Shipibo artisans, watching them hand-paint intricate geometric designs inspired by sacred visions and ancestral wisdom. In the Andean highlands, I learned from Quechua weavers, who naturally dye wool with plants and minerals before weaving it into textiles that tell stories of land, lineage, and love.

My roots in India have deeply influenced the soul of this store. Growing up surrounded by Kalamkari art, Kantha embroidery, and Madhubani paintings, I developed a deep appreciation for craftsmanship that carries generations of knowledge and cultural identity. These traditional art forms remind us that every stitch, brushstroke, and carving is a living expression of creativity, resilience, and connection.

At Two Macaws, we are proud to curate sustainable, ethical, and handmade pieces that bridge cultures and celebrate authenticity. Every product in our collection is carefully sourced to ensure fair trade and meaningful impact. By shopping with us, you’re not just buying décor—you’re supporting traditional artisans, preserving ancient crafts, and helping bring the beauty of global artistry to Winnipeg.

We invite you to visit our Winnipeg concept store in the Exchange District and experience a world of color, culture, and craftsmanship. Discover unique handmade home décor, ethically made gifts, and globally inspired treasures—all thoughtfully chosen to help you create a home filled with story, soul, and connection.
